Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a happy and safe New Year. I wish you all the best in 2022. I wanted to get this year started by putting out my plans and goals. I’ve heard before that if you tell people about your goals, this can be a sure fire method to hold yourself accountable.
In terms of goals, I’ve divided mine into several different areas.
The first area concerns this website/ blog. I want to put more time and effort into it. This involves writing more blog posts, and I also want to do author interviews here, As an indie author myself, I know how hard it is to wear the many hats of being a writer, editor, marketer, and promoter. Whatever I can do to help out fellow authors, I’m all in.
When it comes to my writing, I want to work on my series for morally grey, villain/ antihero character, Twenty. He was supposed to get one book, but he’s always been a rebel. His story is too small to condense into one single book. If you’d like to learn more about Twenty and check out my other work, you can read my first published novel, Tortured Innocence.
Another project I have is called Soren and Cyn.
I’m quite proud of being a horror author, but I also want to write something with lots of steam.
Here is what I have so far for a blurb:
Hyacinth is in love with pain, but it’s the kind of pain she can’t give herself. Her desires lead her deep into darkness, and when she thinks she’s lost, she finds a glimmer of light. She finds him. Soren Serverinson is an intellectual professor who researches sadism, but it’s not all academic for him. He desires to cause the pain she craves.
She wants him to hurt her, but for the first time in a long time she desires intimacy. She questions whether pleasure and pain can intermingle, or will one always burn stronger.
It’s already too late because when they meet, the fire is lit and neither party knows if they’ll escape unharmed.
Are they ready to burn together?
Sadist meet masochist.
Pleasure meet pain.
I’m also planning a novel collaboration with Harriet Everend. I’m excited about this because Harriet is brilliant and I cannot wait to work with her.
There’s going to be a lot to come with writing. Outside of writing, I also want to improve my acrylic painting skills, I want to sew more, I want to work on photography. Overall I want to make my life as artistic as possible.
Here’s to making 2022 a great year.
What goals do you have this year?
